Structural Racks are designed to prevent damage from forklift abuse. The posts, constructed from structural steel, are much thicker than cold roll-formed posts, particularly at the corners which are the primary impact points. Structural Racks are less likely to be deformed by impact. When figuring the high costs of replacing damaged uprights it is well worth you money to invest in structural steel uprights, column protectors or rack reinforcement.

As an option to help reduce cost we are also able to provide heavy-duty structural steel uprights that can interchange with roll formed beams that have nut and bolt end pieces. This gives you the best of both worlds: The damage resistance of structural uprights with the cost savings of roll formed beams.

Structural rack is most commonly offered with the bolt-on connection. Structural rack is also available with the slotted connection. Structural rack with the bolted connection can increase the cost of rack installation compared with teardrop style rack systems because of the extra time it takes to secure nut and bolts.

Structural beams can also be purchased with optional bolt-on crossbar pallet supports. If you are interested in purchasing crossbar pallet supports it is important to do it when first ordering your rack because it is costly and time consuming to drill holes in your beams after the fact. The best decking option for structural rack is flared channel wire decking.

Structural upright frames feature heavy-duty 3" or 4" wide structural steel C-Channels that have pre-punched bolt holes on 4" centers.
